(Sports Chiropractor/Sports Injury Specialist)

Alongside my work at Chiropractie Noordzee, I am currently the Sports Chiropractor/Sports Injury Specialist with ADO Den Haag of the Dutch Eredivisie.  Now in my 10th season functioning as an independent extension of the ADO medical staff, I work with the other staff members in treating player injuries.  In conjunction with the Medical Staff Manager, I have also developed and am implementing a sports chiropractic-based Sports Injury Prevention Program for the first team of ADO, second team, and select top youth players.  My treatments are done both on location at the ADO Den Haag stadium and at our office, Chiropractie Noordzee.

Additionally, I’m working with numerous professional, top amateur, and other Olympic-caliber/national champion athletes and teams.  Over the years, I have successfully treated top athletes in America and the Netherlands in a wide variety of sports such as soccer, American football, hockey (ice & field), baseball, fencing, court and beach volleyball, cycling, sailing, handball, korfball, basketball, track & field, Nitro Circus, and many more.  I have also spent more than 700 hours in the field and traveled extensively around the Netherlands and across Europe to treat numerous Dutch National teams and other high-level athletes at various national and international tournaments.

Since 2014, I have also been approved by Den Haag Topsport (part of the Dutch Olympic Committee/Netherlands Sport Federation) as the Sports Chiropractor for The Hague region of the Netherlands.

After being recognized as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) in 2008, I recently completed my advanced studies for a Diplomate certification in Sports Chiropractic from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, the top sports chiropractic certification in the world, after studying regularly with the Vice President of Sports Medicine for the United States Olympic Committee and other members of the USOC medical staff.  Over the years, I have completed more than 800 hours of intensive sports medicine post-graduate studies and earned certifications as a Diplomate American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP), International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic (ICSC), Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT-B), Graston Technique Practitioner (GTP), and Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP).  For more information on sports chiropractic, please visit the “Specializations” page on this website.

Originally from Canada, I completed my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2007.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude, was the Salutatorian of my class (2nd highest GPA), won the Student Service Award and nine academic scholarships, and also served as President of the Associated Student Body.  I am National Board Certified in chiropractic in both the United States and Canada, certified in physical therapeutics/rehabilitation, and am licensed as a chiropractor in the state of California.
